Set up your TytoHome

This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for setting up TytoHome for the first time.

Download your TytoCare app

Before you get started, charge your TytoDevice and have your Wi-Fi password ready.
Step 1: Download the Tytocare app
  1. NOTE: DO NOT create a TytoCare account in the TytoCare App. It will be created automatically via your MyChart account.
  2. Download the TytoCare app via Apple or Android.

Download the MyChart app and activate your Tyto device

Step 1: Download the MyChart app
  1. If you have an existing account, please login with your Dayton Children's MyKidsChart account.
  2. If it's your first time, please download MyChart via Apple or Android, then choose Dayton Children's as your organization.
  3. If you need help activating your MyKidsChart account, call 877-355-3155.
 
Step 2: Select the asthma patient’s account and tap ‘TytoCare Device Pairing’ from the MyChart menu
This will launch the TytoCare app. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your device.
 
Step 3: Set up your asthma care center 
Follow the on-screen steps to add medication reminders and explore your care center. 
Step 4: Complete set up for other family members (if needed)
For other children who also see a Dayton Children's provider, choose their MyKidsChart account, open the menu, and tap ‘TytoCare Device Pairing’. For questions related to proxy access, call 1-877-355-3155.

Schedule a Kids Express video visit

Step 1: Open the MyKidsChart app
Log in to MyKidsChart.  Select your child’s MyKidsChart account.
 
Step 2: Schedule a TytoCare Video Visit
From the menu, select ‘Schedule a TytoCare Video Visit’ and complete the scheduling process.
 
Step 3: Complete MyChart eCheck-in
Review and complete each page of the eCheck-in process and confirm your phone number in case the Dayton Children’s team needs to reach you.  At your scheduled visit time, click the ‘Join Video Visit’ button.
Step 4: Begin your TytoCare visit
The TytoCare app will automatically launch.  You will be placed in a waiting room and notified when it is time for you to join your visit. 
Pro tip: Make sure your push notifications are turned on for your MyChart and TytoCare apps so you can receive updates regarding your visit. 

Setting up your asthma care center

Dayton Children’s recommendation
 

The care team at Dayton Children’s recommends you set up your virtual asthma care center, which takes less than 10 minutes.

Complete your set-up on three easy steps: 

1.    Set up medication reminders so you never forget a dose again.
2.    Upload your asthma action plan so you have it handy when you need it. 
3.    Explore the virtual care center to learn more about the asthma features.
